VIBRANT BUCKET HAT TIE-DYE School Holiday Workshop Tuesday 16th April

Explore the colourful world of tie-dye. Let your child’s imagination soar as they learn the intricate techniques of tie-dye artistry, transforming a plain bucket-hat into a stunning, wearable masterpiece. Throughout this hands-on workshop, participants will explore a range of tie-dye methods, from classic spirals to intricate crumple designs.

Students will learn the artful application of vibrant dyes to create eye-catching effects. Before starting on the bucket hats , the class will begin with engaging tie-dye colour warm-up activities, providing a playful platform for exploring colour theory and blending techniques.

Note: Aprons are provided; however, please ensure that students wear clothes suitable for messy and artistic activities


Guided by an enthusiastic artist, your child will delve into creative exploration, nurturing their imagination, fostering self-expression, and honing their individual artistic vision. Through hands-on activities, they will develop essential skills in tie dye techniques, fostering confidence in their abilities.

This interactive workshop provides a stimulating social environment, encouraging collaboration and connection among young artists.

Engaging in artistic endeavours has been shown to have numerous positive effects on children’s mental and emotional well-being, including stress reduction, enhanced self-esteem, and a profound sense of achievement.

Tie Dye Techniques: Learn various tie dye techniques and experiment with colours  to create patterns.

Textile Exploration: Transform a plain bucket hat, understanding how colours interact with different fabrics.

Creative Triumphs: Leave with a one of a kind, wearable work of art that reflects your child’s unique style.


Mon, a Sydney based artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, is known for her detailed work in drawing and animation. She’s curated exhibitions, contributed to sustainability-focused projects, and participated in Sculpture By the Sea. Her art often explores sustainability and consumerism, and she works closely with clients, creating meaningful pieces including portraits and landscapes.
